Request and approve application access directly from Slack, reducing the burden on IT teams.
Follow the below-mentioned steps to grant access to applications from Slack:
Go to the Applications module.
Search for the Zoom app.
Click on 'Automation,' then select 'Provisioning' and click '+Add' to create a playbook to grant employee access to Zoom.
Now, choose an in-app action to invite the user.
Assign a Zoom license and a license option. Once done, click on 'Publish app playbook.'
Then, define an automation rule to trigger the Zoom provisioning playbook when someone requests access on Slack. For this, you need to specify the following: 'When' – Access is requested for an existing application, 'Condition' – User account type equals employee, 'Then' – Initiate the approval process.
Now, go to the Directory module, select Users, and click on the External tab. There, search for the contractor's name, click on the 3 dots, and select the 'Mark for Onboarding' action.
Once the playbook and automation rules are configured in Zluri, employees can request Zoom application access directly from Slack.
To do this, the user needs to enter the command '/accessrequest.' Once entered, the 'Raise an access request window' will pop up, wherein you have to enter details like application name, business requirement, access duration, license name, etc. Then, click on submit.
When an access request is made on Slack, approvers receive a notification. They can then review the request and decide whether to approve or reject it.
Once done, the approver can mark the task as completed.
